It’s a relaxed morning today. This half day tour is a must for Bali visitors. In the afternoon our tour begins with a visit to the temple of Mengwi, where the famous Taman Ayun was built for The Prince of Tabanan in the early 17th century. This important temple is surrounded by a large moat, signifying the world of the ocean.
Further on we give you the opportunity to watch the wild living monkeys at the holy monkey forest of Alas Kedaton. The forest mainly consists of Nutmeg Trees, a habitat for fruit bats (Flying Foxes) and 3 large monkey families. Save some space in your memory card for the magnificent sunset at the spectacular Tanah Lot Temple. This temple is built on top of a rock in the Indian Ocean, just a few hundred meters offshore.
Watch the rough sea as it crashes into the coast. The romantic sunset is around 6:10 PM. Photographs in the stunning sunset backdrops are surely not to be missed!!! Please note: your guide will advise on what precautions you should take when visiting the forest.

You will get pick up from your hotel in Senggigi area and we will be driving inland via Gunung Sari Morning Market (stop here to see the locals sell and buy daily needs such as vegetables, spices, rice, and fish, etc.) Sedimen Mountain Village (stop here to see local villages tapping and cooking sago palm juices for brown sugar) and Baun Pusuk Pass (stop here to see the monkeys and feed them with nuts and fruits).
From Baun Pusuk Pass we will be driving downroad toward Teluk Kodeq Harbour, Pemenang Village. We will be boarding the local outrigger boat in Teluk Kodeq Harbor and across the narrow strait for some 20 minutes to Gili Trawangan. It is a small island located on the North of Lombok along with the other two gilis of Meno and Air.
Gili Trawangan is the most popular among the Lombok Gilis, and previously known as the party-island. The facilities are more here and it offers great holidays for all travelers budget. Art shops, cafes & restaurants, budget & luxury villas, dive shops, and Atm machines are available here. Upon arrival on this gili you may begin your free activities for swimming, snorkeling, or sunbathing.
Horse-cart riding arround the Gili would also an attractive activity. If you do not have snorkeling gears with you, the stuffs are easily hired from the local dive shops on this Gili (all costs for these free activities should be of your personal expenses). In the afternoon we will return to Teluk Kodeq Harbour and follow the coastal roads toward Senggigi Beach. You will find many headlands and valleys with beautiful beach views. Then you will be transferred back to your hotel for rest and overnight. (Lunch is not included)
